4K City Walks – Walking Billings MT Rimrock Chief Black Otter Trail – Virtual Travel Walking Trails

We’re back in Billings, Montana in today’s treadmill walk and workout. We take you along the Rimrocks overlooking the city. Billings is the business hub for Central Montana and the northern Rockies. Our trail leads through Swords Park near the airport.  The walk will start at the east end at the tribute to Yellowstone Kelly, an army scout and trapper. This area also served as a burial ground by the Crow people for centuries before it was settled by easterners. The Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) lies just up the road and planes fly over often. A lot of people were getting their morning runs and walks in as I filmed. I could see why. The trail has wonderful views of the city and I would guess they are even better at sunrise and sunset. Maybe I should go back and film it again.

Billings has over 100K people, and while known for its oil and cattle facilities, it also has a lot going on in terms of restaurants and activities. It bills itself as Montana’s trailhead because of its central location. If you’d like to learn more about things to do in Billings, check out the posts by TravelingMel.
