Hello Walkers,
Today, I’m handing the camera over once again to TravelingMel, who’s taking us on a virtual stroll through Bratislava, Slovakia—the charming capital city tucked along the Danube River. Mel’s been doing an awesome job bringing you these European walking tours, and this one’s no exception.
Instead of staying right in the historic city center, this walk takes you a bit further out to explore more of the everyday life in Bratislava. You’ll follow along Obchodná Ulica, a bustling street lined with shops, cafés, restaurants, hotels, and a few hostels—the kind of spot that gives you a real feel for the rhythm of the city.
From there, Mel winds through a couple of green city parks, offering a breath of fresh air, and takes you through the quiet beauty of the Ondrejský Cemetery—a peaceful, reflective spot filled with ornate headstones and Bratislava history. The walk finishes up at one of the city’s most unique landmarks: the Church of St. Elizabeth, better known as the Blue Church. It’s one of those places that looks like it stepped out of a fairytale.
