Hiking Video for your Treadmill Workout
🇮🇹 Dolomites Hike – Walk to Rifugio Genova / Schlüterhütte from Forcela del Pütia – 4K City Walks
Hey friends, I’m really excited to share the first virtual treadmill hike from our hut-to-hut trek through the stunning Italian Dolomites. We were hiking a section of the Alta Via 2—an incredible high-alpine route (I’ve linked more info in the description if you’re curious).
In this leg of the journey, we start out at the Forcella del Pütia—also known as Furcela de Pütia—and follow a rolling, scenic trail over to Rifugio Genova, or Schlüterhütte in German. You’ll notice that many of the places in this region go by both Italian and German names, which really adds to the charm and cultural mix of the area.
Along the way, we’re treated to some big alpine views—jagged peaks off in the distance, grassy meadows, and even a few cows taking it easy along the trail. It’s a peaceful but invigorating stretch that made for one of our favorite days on the trail.
We got a great workout out there, and I hope this virtual version gives you the same—whether you’re walking on a treadmill at home or just looking to escape into the mountains for a bit. Low impact, beautiful scenery, and a solid way to keep moving.
