Hello Walkers,
We’re back in beautiful Jackson, Wyoming, and this time we’re catching it in a whole new season—spring! If you’ve seen our previous winter walk through downtown Jackson in 360VR, you’ll remember the frosty charm and snow-covered streets. That was a chilly but fun one. Today, though, most of the snow has melted, and the town is coming back to life with bright skies, budding trees, and a touch of mountain sunshine.
We begin our virtual walk at the iconic Town Square, once again passing under the famous elk antler arches, a Jackson hallmark and one of the most photographed spots in the state. From there, we stroll through the downtown area, past familiar storefronts and local businesses, before heading toward the Teton County Fairgrounds, where events and festivities kick off later in the year.
Along the way, we pass the Teton County Library, a welcoming community space, and cross over Fish Creek, which flows gently through the town now that the spring thaw is in full swing. The streets are still calm this time of year, but you can feel the energy building as Jackson prepares for the busier summer season.
As we make our way through town, I point out several hotels, inns, and lodges—plenty of good options if you’re planning your own visit to this scenic mountain town. Jackson may be small, but it punches above its weight when it comes to hospitality. There are some fantastic restaurants offering everything from hearty Western fare to gourmet cuisine, and at least one local brewery serving up craft beers perfect after a long hike or ski day.
