Today’s virtual adventure brings us to the charming mountain town of Jackson, Wyoming, filmed using the GoPro Fusion 360 camera to give you a fully immersive experience as we explore one of the American West’s most iconic small towns. Our family has spent many joyful days here over the years, and I’m excited to share a bit of that magic with you on this walk.
We begin our stroll at the famous Jackson Town Square, where you’ll spot the four impressive arches made from elk antlers—a unique and memorable landmark that anchors the heart of downtown. From there, we meander through Gaslight Alley, a quaint little passageway lined with shops, galleries, and cafés. Keep an eye out for the stuffed moose—a local favorite and a whimsical photo op tucked inside one of the shop entrances.
As we head farther into town, we pass a mix of historic wooden storefronts and upscale boutiques, giving you a taste of Jackson’s balance between rustic Western charm and modern luxury. The walk takes us through a quiet residential neighborhood, offering a glimpse of daily life away from the more tourist-heavy spots.
We eventually reach the base of Snow King Mountain, Jackson’s in-town ski hill and summer hiking destination. Even if you’re not a skier, it’s worth the walk just to admire the slope and the view it provides over the valley. Nearby, we also pass the Center for the Arts, a community hub for performances, galleries, and creative events.
Then it’s back downtown to wrap up our walk among the vibrant energy of this unique high-country town. Whether you’ve visited Jackson before or it’s still on your travel list, I hope this virtual walking tour helps capture some of its laid-back spirit and stunning mountain setting.
