4K Virtual Vacations – Livingston Montana USA – April 27 – East Side – Virtual Treadmill City Walk
Hello Walkers,
After a couple of false starts and a failed livestream attempt, I’m back with another Virtual Treadmill Scenery Walk, this time exploring the east side of Livingston, Montana—just a stone’s throw from Yellowstone National Park. We pick up our journey right where we left off in the last walk, beginning just past Fleshman’s Creek and Mayor’s Landing, two local landmarks that sit along the edge of town near the Yellowstone River.
It’s a blustery April day, with the wind doing its usual thing here in Livingston. If you’ve been following these walks for a while, you know that wind is part of the deal out here—especially in the spring. The clouds are rolling quickly overhead, casting shifting light across the streets and fields, and you can feel that tug of winter still lingering in the air, even as signs of spring begin to emerge.
This walk takes us through a lesser-seen side of Livingston, away from the downtown and toward the quieter residential areas and open spaces that frame the town. It’s a peaceful route, and one that gives you a better sense of the day-to-day rhythm of life here. You’ll spot a few homes with early spring decorations, yards just starting to green up, and views of the Absarokas peeking through the breaks in the cloud cover.
Although the livestream didn’t cooperate this time, I’m glad to be able to share this recording with you instead. Technology doesn’t always go our way, but the walk is always worth it—especially in a place as rich in scenery and small-town character as Livingston.
