Welcome back to Livingston, MT. I love our little town and I hope you do too.

Livingston, Montana Walking Tour – 4K HDR City Walk – Yellowstone River Town from the Old West

Hello Walkers. We are back in the USA. It’s been awhile since I filmed for the channel since I had so many walks from Italy to post. But it’s summer time and the living is easy. I thought I’d start out giving you an updated tour of my little town on the Yellowstone River. No Dutton family here. Just us locals. It’s a beautiful day with just a bit of clouds and wind as is usual for June here. We start downtown and I show you some fun things to do in Livingston. Then we head east a bit into a residential neighborhood and past the Lincoln School gardens and the Shane Lelani Center for the Arts. Then it’s down past the High School, the skate park where they are filming a movie, past the lagoon, the civic center, miles park bandshell and to the river. I hope you enjoy this treadmill virtual walking tour.

Livingston has about 8000 residents and a whole lot of scenery (and wind in the winter).  The Main Street has some wonderful old buildings and the view over towards Livingston peak makes me smile every time. It’s been home to Annie Oakley and other notables through years and grew up as a rail road town and gateway to Yellowstone National Park. Unfortunately, passenger rail is no longer around but trains used to run down to Gardiner taking tourists from all over the country. There’s been some talk of restoring passenger service through Livingston and we’re crossing our fingers.

It can be difficult to really convey the charm of our little town. I hope I did it a bit of justice.

I’m trying a different camera setup today and I like the footage but the audio has some problem solving to work out. Thanks for your patience.
