This walk was filmed during the pandemic, so the beaches themselves were officially closed, but that doesn’t stop us from soaking up the gorgeous ocean views and the easygoing coastal vibe that Manhattan Beach is known for. With blue skies overhead, palm trees swaying, and the rhythmic sound of the Pacific just out of reach, Mel strolls along the strand and pedestrian paths that parallel the shore. It’s a great reminder of California’s unique mix of city, surf, and laid-back charm.
Manhattan Beach is part of the greater Los Angeles area and is famous for its scenic pier, beach volleyball, upscale homes, and relaxed atmosphere. Even though this walk sticks to the safer, accessible areas due to closures, you still get a strong sense of the place’s appeal.
