Moab Utah Walking Tours – Walking Trails for Treadmill
Hello Walkers,
On the final leg of my long road trip through Colorado and Utah, I spent a quiet afternoon strolling through the one-of-a-kind desert town of Moab, Utah, and I’m excited to bring you along on this virtual walking tour.
Filmed in mid-March, just before the spring tourist season really kicks off, the streets are calm and the pace is relaxed—an ideal time to soak in the scenery without the usual hustle and bustle. As we walk, we explore the town’s colorful main drag with its variety of jeep and ATV rental shops, bike outfitters, restaurants, cafés, and outdoor gear stores—all geared toward the town’s thriving adventure tourism scene.

Moab is a true hub for outdoor enthusiasts, and that energy really ramps up as the season progresses. Soon after this was filmed, the area would fill with off-roaders attending Jeep Safari events, mountain bikers tackling the legendary Slickrock trails, and river rafters prepping for expeditions down the Colorado River. But today, we get to enjoy the quiet side of Moab, with bike paths nearly to ourselves and time to appreciate the red rock surroundings at a more peaceful pace.
Thanks for walking with me through this iconic desert town. Whether you’ve been to Moab before or are dreaming of a visit, I hope this treadmill walk gives you a taste of its rugged charm.
Keep on steppin’ — Henry

Moab is the largest city of Grand County in southeastern Utah, known for its dramatic red-rock scenery. It is a small city with a population was 5,366. The city attracts many tourists, mostly visitors to the nearby Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The town is also a popular base for mountain bikers who ride the extensive network of trails including the Slickrock Trail, and for off-roaders who come for the annual Moab Jeep Safari. The Biblical name Moab apparently refers to an ancient land located on the eastern side of the Jordan River.
Moab is so close to the Colorado River and Arches NP as well as so much outdoor activities.
