Montana Autumn Nature Hike – Suce Creek

We love the autumn colors in our Montana region. Today we return to Suce Creek, one of our favorite local trails. While I usually focus on virtual tours of cities, I do love a good virtual nature walk as well. Montana Virtual Nature Hike for Treadmill: The aspens and cotton woods are glowing with their yellow leaves in the morning sun. The air is a cool 43F and the breeze that rattles the leaves down in the valley can’t find its way up to the trail head. Even the grasses are getting in on the artistry. While the audio does […]

Filming Virtual tours of cities can be a bit tough when the weather doesn’t cooperation but the fall colors really pop on a cool fall day. Explore Downtown Cincinnati, OH Walking Tour

In this week’s virtual city walks, we visit the city of my origins. It’s a pretty old city for the US, especially since it’s not on the East Coast. However, it is on the Ohio River, where we’ve already walked along the river. Now let’s take a virtual walking tour of the downtown Cincinnati. I was born in Cincinnati. It’s a great town but has really changed over the last 50 years. I only lived there a short while but it’s still an anchor of our family tree. The downtown Cincinnati area has a few new buildings, a few refurbished […]

Walking in Cincinnati’s Riverfront Parks

I’m actually “from” Cincinnati with deep roots in the city. However, I only lived there a few years in the 90’s. Still this trip brought back a lot of great memories of meeting family and taking advantage of all the amazing things Cincy has to offer. I’d love to go back and do some TravelingMel videos of the place as well. It has a long history of arts, culture, and celebrations. Today’s virtual walk tour takes you along the historic riverfront of Cincinnati OH. The Ohio River rolls inexorably past the “Queen City” with subtle, muddy power. A historical byway […]

Downtown Knoxville Virtual City Walks

Exploring Downtown Knoxville was pretty interesting. I saw all sorts of great buildings and activities. I meant to post this last week but got mixed up. Whoops. But I’m back and today I will take you around the downtown area and point out several different hotels, restaurants, theaters and little parks. It’s a cloudy but warm morning and the downtown are is pretty quiet. Though, I have to admit, prior to the walk I did see an altercation that put me on edge. We also walk through the morning Farmers Market which wasn’t very busy at this hour. Hopefully, it […]

Exploring Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Another of our 4k City Walks. I made a quick stop in Gatlinburg, TN and it kind of took me by surprise. The surrounding area has astounding natural beauty and it actually borders Great Smokey Mountains National Park. The divide, where we start our walk, is stark and obvious. Exploring Gatlinburg, Tennessee – Virtual tour of the Tourist Mecca in TN – Virtual Tours of Cities I originally thought Gatlinburg was a music center, maybe because I have memories of the Gatlin Brothers and I conflated the two. However, it is primarily a gateway town to GSMNP. It reminds me […]

Have you even heard of the US National White Water Center? I hadn’t but I really enjoyed exploring it. In fact, it kind of blew my mind.
