In this City Walks episode, we’re exploring the scenic waterfront during the lockdown period. While the beaches themselves were closed at the time, the stunning coastal views and perfect weather made it a walk worth sharing.
Redondo Beach is a classic Southern California beach town located in Los Angeles County. It’s part of the South Bay area, just south of Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach. Known for its laid-back vibe, oceanfront charm, and iconic pier, Redondo has long been a favorite destination for both locals and visitors. The city is home to a mix of quiet neighborhoods, seafood spots, surf shops, and beachside parks, all woven together by a scenic coastline that stretches for miles.
In this walk, Mel takes us along the waterfront paths, past palm trees and coastal homes, with ocean breezes and bright blue skies all around. Though the sand was off-limits due to pandemic restrictions, the peaceful, open-air environment gave us plenty to enjoy. You’ll catch glimpses of the Redondo Beach Pier, the marina, and the wide-open Pacific—perfect treadmill scenery to keep you moving and inspired.
