Stockholm, Sweden makes for great virtual treadmill walks. You can cover a lot of ground quickly and easily and see so much of what the city has to offer.

Stockholm, Sweden 01 Train Station to Historiska Museet – 4K City Walks

It’s early August and we are in the “Capital of Scandinavia”. Today’s walk leads from the Central Station to the Historical Museum. We had wonderful weather with only a bit of rain and we’ve been hugely impressed with the city. Except for the cost. The city is clean, well signed, and lots of great museums and parks. The metro system is easy to navigate, especially if you use the app. We got the 7 day transport card which simplified everything as well. Next walk will be from the palace to Djurgarten to Skeppshomen.

Stockholm dates back at least 1000 years which made me wonder what it must have been like so long ago. It has certainly evolved into a magical and beautiful city since then. If you ever get a chance to visit, be sure to enjoy the tradition of Fika: afternoon cake with strong coffee.
