City Walks: Ventura, California virtual treadmill beach walking tour
Hello Walkers,
On Thanksgiving morning, I took a peaceful stroll through the beautiful coastal city of Ventura, California. Just a couple of weeks earlier, the area had faced both wildfires and a tragic shooting—but on this day, the air was calm, the skies were clear, and the town felt peaceful and welcoming.
I started my walk near the county courthouse, then made my way past the historic mission foundations and through Ventura’s charming downtown. Eventually, I reached the shoreline where the rhythm of the waves joined the motion of surfers and kiteboarders dancing on the water. The people I passed were warm and friendly, and the whole walk had an easy, relaxing energy to it.
This walk makes for a perfect treadmill companion—whether you’re working out at the gym or enjoying a quiet walk at home. It’s a great way to explore new places while getting in some steps and enjoying a bit of virtual sunshine.
