Big Springs in Island Park Virtual Nature Walk Along Henry’s Fork River – City Walks 360
Let’s take an immersive Virtual nature walk along the Henry’s Fork on a fine summer morning. This is the first half hour of a longer walk on our other flat channel. We start out at Big Springs and follow the trail down stream. It’s a wonderfully calm trail and walk. The water is so clear it’s unbelievable.
The Big Springs itself has an old cabin just above that sends out the epitome of calm. On either side of the birdge over the place where the river starts, you can look down and see massive trout holding position in the current. You can even buy some fish food to feed them if you have a quarter.
From there a quiet path leads along the south side of the river through the serene forest. It’s quiet this morning and so peaceful.
The path has several little spots to look out over the river. You will likely see osprey at some point during your walk and possibly even moose. Be wary of those. They are huge! We’re save on our virtual walk though.
