Hey everyone, it’s Henry here. We were out in the Tri-Cities area of Washington for a conference recently, and I managed to carve out a quiet morning to do something a little different—float down the Yakima River. We started upriver and made our way down to where it meets the mighty Columbia. It’s a peaceful stretch, winding through farmland and sage-covered hills, and even though the sun decided to duck behind the clouds right before we put in, it still turned out to be a beautiful float.
There’s something about drifting down a river that just slows everything down—you get a chance to breathe, to listen, and to just be in the moment. The water was calm, the birds were active, and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. It was a great way to step away from the busy conference vibe and reconnect with nature for a bit.
