City Walks – Rapid City South Dakota – Treadmill Travel Virtual Walking Tour
Hello Walkers!
It’s Day Two of our road trip, and I got up early for a quiet morning walk around downtown Rapid City, South Dakota—a place I’d driven past dozens of times but never really stopped to explore until now. Known as the “City of Presidents” thanks to the life-sized bronze statues of U.S. presidents placed throughout downtown, Rapid City sits at the edge of the Black Hills and serves as a popular gateway to Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and so many other beautiful and fascinating places to the south.
This was my first proper visit to the city itself, and I have to say, it didn’t disappoint. The streets are clean, the downtown has character, and there’s a blend of historic charm and modern touches that make it a joy to wander through. There’s also a peaceful nearby residential area that we’ll stroll through toward the end of the video, giving you a nice glimpse of local life beyond the main streets.
