4K City Walks: Vienna Austria – Hofburg Palace to Maria-Theresien-Platz – Virtual Treadmill Scenery

Our second walk in Vienna, or Wien, and it’s truly the city of Mozart. This virtual walk takes you around the Hofburg Palace and through the gardens, past Prince Eugene statues, the Erzherzog Karl – Equestrian Statue in the Helden Platz and into the interior courtyard with the statue for Emperor Franz I. Then, we walk through the main entrance and past the door for the Sisi Museum. After leaving there we move on to Michaelerplatz and views of ancient Roman walls with views of Michaelskirche. Finally, we go back through another section of the Helden Platz gardens, past the Volkstheater metro stop, and ending up at Maria-Theresien-Platz in front of the Museum of Natural History.

Vienna is such a beautiful city. Not surprisingly, given their history and proximity, the architecture is similar to Budapest but it seems much cleaner and with more trees. Then, It was a sunny winter day in the capital of Austria which sits on the Danube river. It’s a fine city with many famous museums and hotels and restaurants. Meanwhile, you can find many activities for families and others to take advantage of in the largest city in Austria. The wind comes down from the Alps which makes things much colder. Also, It’s easy to get around Vienna in the metro or ride shares. This was a sunny afternoon to see some of the best sites in Vienna.
