Washington DC Virtual Walking Tour – National Mall Treadmill Scenery – City Walks
Hello Walkers, Today I’m taking you on a virtual walking tour around the National Mall in Washington, D.C.—a place that’s packed with history, symbolism, and some of the most iconic landmarks in the country. If you’ve ever wanted to explore the capital without the crowds or the travel, this walk is a great way to do it.
I started near the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, right in the heart of the Mall. From there, I made my way past the Smithsonian Castle—such a striking building with its red sandstone and old-world charm. It’s always been one of my favorites along the Mall.
Next, I passed the Washington Monument, towering above everything, as it always does. No matter how many times I see it, it still takes my breath away. I took a little detour to swing by the White House for a quick view through the fence. Even on a gray fall day, it’s still a powerful sight.
As I continued the loop, I walked past the National Museum of African American History and Culture. It’s a beautiful and meaningful addition to the Mall—modern in design, but deeply rooted in history and memory.
The skies were overcast and the trees were shedding their last bits of fall color, but the Mall was still buzzing with people—visitors, joggers, school groups, folks just out for a stroll. There’s always a kind of energy here that I find really up lifting.
