We left Strasbourg at the very end of May and crossed back over France via train to Normandy.

FRANCE: Exploring Bayeux on a Free Virtual Walking Tours for Treadmill in Normandy
Bayeux has the advantages of a train station, proximity to the Normandy beaches, and a wonderful museum housing the Bayeux Tapestry. While I couldn’t film in the museum, I found it to be very impressive and informative. Never the less, today’s virtual city tour mostly avoids the rain. We do have some haze on the lens in parts so please excuse that. I start out the walking tour on Rue Saint Martin and make our way into the center of town. You’ll see lots of Normandy invasion decorations including painted windows and flags. I take time to look into shop windows and then make a left on Rue du Marechal Foch.
The Aure River flows through town as a canalized river and it’s lined by flowers and ancient homes. Away from the primary streets, the city gets quiet. We cross back over through the main part of town and enjoying all the lovely decorations.
I make my way over to the cathedral, the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Bayeux, and I take you inside to see the beautiful light streaming in through the stained glass windows. Then, I head back into the center of the city and end up at a riverside park. Thanks for joining me on this relaxing virtual city walk. Keep on steppin’ -Henry
