The Virtual Walking Video for Treadmill
We are back in Bozeman, MT and it’s another snowy day. Unlike past walks in Bozeman, it’s relatively warm today for winter (27F / 3C). However, it’s still snowing and cold, just not below zero. Today we start out at the north end of MSU at the corner of 11th and College at the traffic circle.
This traffic circle has been a great addition; it has sped up traffic and led to fewer accidents. It used to be a bit of a mess.

As we head east, off to the left we’ll pass a few new shops and restaurants and a few perennials. Colombo’s pizza has been here for quite awhile and is a typical pie and pint college type place. Joe’s Parkway Market is also a long standing institution. It has the basics as well as some fancier type foods. Not much further along is the Pickle Barrel Sandwich and Ice Cream shop.
We make a left and head north on 8th which is divided. I love the view down this straight avenue lined by trees, especially in the snow. A little ways down we’ll make a loop into the South Side neighborhood and down to circle Cooper Park. This park is a local off leash dog park with lots of trees and a nice community feel. Just make sure you mind your dog and pickup after it.

As we get to Main Street, we get a good look at the Lewis and Clark Motel and its iconic sign. I’m not sure how this places stays open and at the same time doesn’t manage to upgrade but I enjoy it’s mid century modern design.
From here we head east again along Main Street with tons of traffic and a couple new buildings going in. I’ll tell you a bit about the other newer, finished buildings further along too. Downtown Bozeman has a lot to offer and the aesthetic hasn’t gone too corporate yet, though there are more chain stores moving in.
